Flooding at the Dubai Autodrome on Friday meant the Sprint Race of the second round of the GP2 Asia Series has been axed.

Following a track inspection by the race directors, it was their collective view that the volume of water on the track, and the likelihood of there being any improvement during the day, would make it impossible to run any races safely.

The GP2 Series Organisation will decide on a later date how this cancelation will affect the Championship in the near future
