Adriano’s agent has said in a statement that his client will be remaining at Internazionale till the season’s end.
Inter Milan are sitting comfortably on top of the Serie A table after 17 matches, undoubtedly the most dominant in Italy at the moment.
It there's anything to grouse about the reigning Serie A champions, it would be the soap opera surrounding their wayward striker Adriano, who has been up to his old tricks lately.
The Italian media have indicated that the Brazilian international is ready to leave the San Siro, but the player's agent, Gilmar Rinaldi, has no doubt that his client will remain with the Nerazzurri for the foreseeable future.
"Adriano will return home for Christmas to be with his family, but on January 2 he will go back to Milan, because he is an Inter player," the agent declared in an interview. "The Emperor will be at Inter in 2009, and he will be happy there as well."
When asked about Adriano's future at the end of the current campaign, Rinaldi said, ""I am unsure as to what the club have in mind for when the season ends."
"They may want to loan him out, they may want to sell him, however there is also the option of keeping the player," he concluded.
The long-term future remains hazy for the Brazilian at best. However, following these latest comments, the Emperor seems certain to remain in Milan for the time being.
